“Choose to Challenge” is the theme for International Women’s Day (IWD) in 2021, and we have a challenge for you! There are many ways to commemorate this day, and we’re launching a render contest to celebrate all the amazing women in the world.

International Women’s Day Render Contest

This render contest is simple:

  1. Create a static International Women’s Day themed render or animation using any item from the Daz 3D store.
  2. Post your render on social media with the hashtag #MadeWithDaz and tag @insta_daz3d. If you don’t have a social media account, an online portfolio also works.
  3. Follow Daz on the social media platform of your choice.
  4. Fill out the submission form to enter.

Submissions are open from March 8 to March 31, 2021.

Support International Women’s Day

Our render contest is a fun way to commemorate this day, but there’s so much more to it. It’s also recognizing gender bias and inequality, calling it out, and supporting women’s achievements. In line with the “Choose to Challenge” theme this year, when you choose to challenge gender inequality, you can create change.

Another organization tackling this problem is Catalyst. Supported by International Women’s Day, Catalyst is working to advance women’s opportunities and equality in the workplace, especially women from racially and ethnically marginalized groups. We wholeheartedly agree with Catalyst’s statement that “Progress for women is progress for everyone.”

We’ve re-released strong female characters the past week leading up to IWD and will donate a portion of the proceeds to Catalyst. Not only do you get awesome female characters from Daz, but we also support real women in the process.

Are you in? Get started on your render for the International Women’s Day Render Contest and submit it here.

I would like to participate in this challenge (IWD), but i have 2 questions:
1)DAZ’s Gallery is considered a right place as on line portfolio where to publish the render or is needed an account to a social network like Instagram or others?
2)The coupon for Mabel 8 does’nt work, when i entered the code, the site say “invalid coupon”.

    Thank you

    Emanuela

    • Hello! We’ve updated the article to be more clear. If you have a social media account, please post your render there with the hashtag and tag us. If you don’t have a social media account, you can post it in an online portfolio like the Gallery.
And thank you for letting us know! The coupon code was fixed and is working again. Let us know if you have any other problems. 🙂

  • The prizelist is different on this page compared to the International Women’s Day Contest Rules.

    HERE:
1st Place: ABS Gladiator Gaming PC
    2nd Place: Wacom Cintiq 22″
    3rd Place: $1,000 Cash
Runners Up: Substance Suite – 1 year subscription
Honorable Mentions: $100 Daz Store Credit

    CONTEST RULES:
    ABS Gladiator Gaming PC
    Wacom Cintiq 22”
    $100 cash prize
    (3) Runners Up – Substance Suite, 1 year subscription
To a total of 6 people.

The 1000USD cash prize is the major difference.

    Which is the correct one?

    • Our apologies for the typo! The $1,000 cash prize for 3rd Place is correct. We’ll fix the typo in the contest rules ASAP!

  • This is a great contest! I am currently working on a potential submission, but I had a question. This will be my first contest entry and I am a bit of a noob, haha. So I don’t want to assume anything.

Does it have to be an unaltered render from Daz Studio? OR Are you allowed to render an image in Daz w/ Daz products, THEN import that image to adobe Photoshop to add some hand drawn elements or brush effects. Also to adjust color, contrast etc. Or would this not fit within the contest guidelines?

    Thanks!!

    • Thanks for the question! As long as you use a Daz product, you can render or edit it wherever you want 🙂

  • Emanuela Giampieri says:

I have send a render for the IWD contest, published on deviant art. Can i upload the same render in my gallery, in the Daz site too?

    thank you

    Emanuela
