Calling all goblins and ghouls! We’re kicking off the month of October with a themed render contest. All are welcome to join in the fun, so get to work preparing your best spooky, horror, or gothic-themed scenes and enter the Spooktacular Render Contest for a chance to win… If you dare.
Entrants will have a chance to win amazing prizes in two categories. Plus, you can submit as many entries as you’d like! Explore different themes and get ready to shock and delight with your most terrifically terrifying scenes.
Win Fiendish Prizes in 2 Categories
Submissions will be evaluated and sorted into two categories: Best Character/Creature and Best Keyframe.
Use your favorite Daz 3D content to create a bewitching character or creature portrait, or a keyframe demonstrating a crucial narrative moment between one or more characters in a captivating environment. First, second, and third place winners will be chosen for each of the two categories (that’s six winners total).
The prizes:
1st Place: iPad Pro – 12”
2nd Place: $500 Cash
3rd Place: $200 Daz Store Credit
How to Enter
You have the full month of October to enter, but the sooner you get going, the more entries you can submit. Entering is as easy as following these five steps:
- Use any items from the Daz store to create a static render or animation with a spooky, horror, or gothic theme.
- Post your submission on the Daz Gallery.
- Follow Daz 3D on the social media platform of your choice.
- Post your submission on your social media profile with the hashtag #MadeWithDaz and tag Daz 3D in the post.

Hi Team DAZ,
Is it possible to post my submission on the Daz Gallery, if it is an Animation ?
I was not aware we were able to post animations in the gallery, if yes, can you explain how.
Also, what size and how long can the animation be.
Thanks
The Admin says:
Great question! The Daz Gallery doesn’t currently support animations. However, this is something we’re exploring in a future update. If your entry is an animation, you can leave the “Gallery Link” field blank. Please ensure your social post visibility is set to public and we’ll give it a look there. Thanks!

When (or where) do we get to see the results? The “Spooktacular Render Contest” main page says nov 9th. It’s now th 11th and there are no updates on that page 🙁
The Admin says:
Apologies for any confusion there. Winners have been contacted directly and were announced across two Instagram posts on Nov. 9. You can check them out on our Instagram page.
